Stop Complaining, The System Isn’t Broken. It Works 99.9% of The Time.

I am reading Sam Carpenter’s book, “Work The System” and it is amazing the parallels that we have drawn and how they apply to all areas of life and specifically to obtaining high levels of energy and health.

Overall, the systems of this world work absurdly well: 99.9 percent of everything works just fine, and even the parts we consider imperfect are that way only because we think those parts should be different.

The first similarity I noticed is that Sam and I both recognize the fact that in nearly all cases (outside of human interaction or free will) the systems surrounding and which compose our bodies function near perfectly. Just reflect on how many trillions of processes are going on within your body for it to continue looking around, feeling sensations, digesting food, eliminating toxins. It is a near flawless system. The planet keep spinning and going round the sun.

since system inefficiencies comprise such a small percentage of the things of my life—and because I have free will—I should be able to methodically isolate problematic systems and then, one by one, manipulate their mechanics to make them efficient.

When I read the above lines from Sam’s book, is when I knew that we were brothers from another mother. This is the crux of the High Energy Parenting system; we can change our outcomes by methodically isolating our weakest areas and tweaking the mechanics until we achieve the result we desire.

Take time today to observe that chaos is a subjective mental state, not an objective reality. Nature, God, physical law, unseen intelligence; call it what you will, but there is a unceasing call for order in the cosmos. (Cosmos actually means order) Observe just how well the systems of nature work, and 99% of the time how well the systems man has created work. The car starts with a turn of the key, the computer turns on with a push of a button, the email goes all the way across the globe in seconds, the lights go on with a flick; what fantastic systems!
