Gems All Around Us

Today’s post is short, simple, and sweet. I found these words framed at a local thrift shop and they were useful to me. Perhaps you may make use of them too.

Thank You For Today
This is a new day, never touched by me before.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is important because
I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes,
this day will be gone forever——
leaving in its place something I have traded for it.
I want it to be good, not evil,
growth, not destruction; peace not violence,
in order that I shall not regret the
price I paid for today.

Keep an open eye out for life’s ‘gems’, which are all around us, if we will only look for them.

Can You Tell Who Wrote This?

Our lives can be seen as one continuous story, with us as the lead character. Each day can even be seen as its own chapter, or even it’s own novel unto itself.

What story are you going to write today? Who is your character? How does your character confront the challenges that surely lie ahead on the path toward self-directed glory?

Every event that happens, happens. We then determine the meaning of such events and how the relate to us.

We all have a story, though many of us have forgotten who the author is.

Pick up the pen. It’s your time to write. This is your story.
