Forget the Fear

By May 12, 2015 Uncategorized

“We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face…We must do that which we think we cannot.”  ~Eleanor Roosevelt

If I followed my fears… I would have missed out on fatherhood…missed out on meeting the mother of our children and life partner…missed out on eating a plant based diet…missed running ultra marathons…missed producing a book and training course… The list goes on.

Fear means that we perceive danger, which can be very useful, but fear doesn’t need determine our action. We wouldn’t hesitate to jump in front of a moving truck for our kids.

I want my actions based in love, reason, and compassion.

What would you have missed because of fear? What are you currently missing out on because of fear?
